By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Docubix provides AI-powered document retrieval, search, indexing, and conversational question-answering services.

The Service allows users to:

Upload documents
Create knowledge bases
Generate searchable indexes
Interact with content using AI-powered chat and search
Create API keys for external integrations
Access analytics and usage information

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue portions of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

5. Ownership of Content

You retain ownership of all documents, content, data, prompts, and materials you upload to the Service ("User Content").

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of User Content to Docubix.

6. License to Operate the Service

To provide the Service, you grant Docubix a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

Store your content
Process your content
Index your content
Generate embeddings
Retrieve content
Transmit content as necessary to operate the Service

This license exists solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

7. AI Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to process content and generate responses.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

Content may be processed by third-party AI providers
AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies
AI responses should be independently reviewed before being relied upon
Docubix does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content

You remain responsible for verifying all outputs.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate applicable laws or regulations
Infringe intellectual property rights
Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
Interfere with the operation of the Service
Circumvent usage limits or rate limits
Conduct denial-of-service attacks
Use the Service for unlawful surveillance or data collection
Generate or distribute spam
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary technology from the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Sensitive and Restricted Information

Financial account credentials

API keys are confidential credentials.

You are responsible for:

Protecting API keys from unauthorized access
Monitoring API usage
Ensuring integrations comply with these Terms

You are responsible for all activity performed using your API keys.

We may suspend API access if usage threatens the security, stability, or availability of the Service.

11. Subscription Plans and Billing

Certain features may require a paid subscription.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

Pay all applicable fees
Provide accurate billing information
Authorize recurring charges where applicable

Subscription pricing may change in the future. Changes will not affect an active billing period and will apply only to future renewals.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, documentation, and underlying technology, is owned by Docubix or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service.

13. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Service may experience:

Maintenance periods
Upgrades
Security-related interruptions
Third-party service outages

We are not liable for downtime, delays, or interruptions.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if:

These Terms are violated
Required by law
Necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties
Fraudulent or abusive activity is detected

Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCUBIX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE
THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED
AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE
CONTENT WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCUBIX AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL DOCUBIX'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO DOCUBIX DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

IF NO FEES WERE PAID, DOCUBIX'S LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Docubix, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

18. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

20. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
